Prime Real Estate commenced operations in Geelong in 2006 as a boutique real estate agency and is proudly a member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV).
The Agency Principal, Gina Popowicz, is a Licensed Estate Agent and a licensed member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV).
Gina has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. She has a unique ability to deal with both vendors, purchasers, rental providers and renters – something which became apparent very early on in her career. Her ability to foster and develop relationships with clients and achieve results beyond expectation has forged a reputation in the industry that is second to none.
The current time however, is far-removed from the time when Gina was ‘advised’ by several Real Estate Agency principals that as a mother of four young children, she would never make it in the industry. Making her even more determined to succeed, Gina went on to become one of the most respected and sought-after agents in the Geelong region. Numerous agencies subsequently attempted to entice her to their own agencies. However, after eight years working for other agencies, including Hayden, Jens Gaunt and Hocking Stuart, she decided that it was time to establish her own boutique agency which delivered exceptional results for clients whilst providing a service that was second to none.
Prime Real Estate was born and commenced operating in June 2006 after Gina completed her Real Estate License. “The agencies’ tagline, “Prime Agents. Prime Service. Prime Results.” embodies a unique way of going about business which other agencies can’t replicate. An abundant number of testimonials that willing clients are happy to write are testimony to this”, says Gina.
“Our philosophy remains simple – treat people the way you would like to be treated”, says Gina, “and make sure we uphold the principles embodied in our tagline.”
“Our staff is a critical aspect of our business, so it’s imperative that we have the right mix of people with complementary skills supporting our business” continues Gina. “We encourage continuous training to ensure that our staff is abreast of the latest trends and development in the industry”. Orest joined the business in a full time capacity in 2009 and assists in all facets of the operation. Orest has a natural flair for analysis and brings his technical and operational skills to the business.
Prime also supports the local business community by being a member of various business groups including the Geelong Chamber of Commerce and Geelong Business Club.
Community involvement has always been a focus of the business, sponsoring and supporting various causes and for many years supported the annual breast cancer fundraiser, the Mother’s Day Classic, an annual fun run around the Geelong foreshore.
Prime continued to grow from strength to strength, participating in the Small Business Victoria Masterclass for Small Business in 2011 after being selected for participation from a competitive group of business applicants. In March 2011, Gina was honoured by the Belmont branch of the Westpac Bank, selected as winner of the “Ruby Award for Women”, celebrating the contribution of women in business and in particular, Gina’s contribution to business in Geelong.
Prime Real Estate was selected as a finalist in two Award categories of the Geelong Business Excellence Awards in 2012, which celebrate Geelong businesses and recognize organizations that have achieved business excellence in the Geelong region. In 2021 Gina Popowicz, was also nominated as a finalist in the Business Leader of the Year category, to recognise her outstanding leadership abilities.
